Who doesn’t want to be successful, it’s the first thing any goal oriented person want in his/her life. But achieving success without proper knowledge and guidance is very difficult. There are many factors which restrict people from achieving success.

1. Get Rid of Giving Excuses

You have to understand that you are the one who is responsible for your life. Whatever you are right now, it’s because of your own past decisions. You should not blame your family, friends, colleague, boss, government etc for your life. If you need a better life then you have to create it yourself rather than blaming your boss or your government for not providing any opportunity. Realize that you have the power to achieve your goals. Giving Excuses will only lower your motivation and hold you back.

2. Get Rid of Toxic People

Toxic people are those who are always pessimistic about your ideas or way of thinking, Who are not supportive, negative or Demotivate you. You may also term few of your well-wishers as Toxic if they live an average life and always try to talk you out of your ideas trying to convince you to not to dream big.

It is said that you are the average of the people you spend the most time with. People you spend the most time with always influence your thinking. If you want to be successful in a particular field then you need to spend more time with people who are successful in that field. If you surround yourself with average people with average mentality then one day you will end up becoming an average mentality. The first thing you need to do is replace the Toxic people with supportive and optimistic people. It’s hard to move ahead with your plans when you are constantly bombarded with negativity.

3. Get Rid of the Easy Way

Everyone wants to be successful but sadly only a very few are willing to do whatever it takes to achieve it and finally only those few end up being successful. There is no easy path to success unless you are damn lucky. If you want to excel in your life then you need stretch your limits, start challenging yourself. You need to reach your maximum potential and always be ready for the hardship.

4. Get rid of Just Talking and Start Doing

The people who are successful today reached to that state because they did more than just talking, they took action. A majority of people won’t achieve their goals because they just talk about it and at most make plans to achieve them. You have to realize that things are not going to get better until you take necessary action. So decide whether you want to be just a talker or a doer. 5. Get Rid of the Fixed Mindset

Successful people cultivate a growth mindset while average people get stuck with their fixed mindset. We all know the fact that a person’s mindset determines his/her future. A person with a growth mindset will always try to explore new ways of growth while a person with a fixed mindset will be reluctant to change. Whenever you think of doing something new, many thoughts will pop up into your mind like “Am I sure about it?”, “What if I fail?”, “What if I don’t have the talent to do it?”, “What will the society think about me?” etc. It’s up to you how you handle those questions. A growth mind will answer those positively and go ahead while a fixed mind will do the opposite.

6. Get Rid of Fear

Fear is a life-saving impulse. It will either create you or destroy you, so it’s an essential part of everyone’s life but as the saying “Too much is Too Bad”, too much fear will let you nowhere. A majority of world’s population are either leading an average or a below average life. Fear of taking risks, fear of failure, fear of what society may think, fear of losing money etc. Fear will always stop you from achieving your full potential, so be brave and start taking risks because if you won’t then you will stay where you are.

7. Get Rid of Giving Up

A survey conducted in the UK had revealed that most people give up their New Year resolution in about just 24 days. Approximately only 3% of the people Succeed in continuing it till 12 months. There are too many reasons why people give up, some give up after witnessing their first failure but most of them give up because they are too lazy to continue. 8. Get rid of the Overnight Success Mentality

Success is not something which can be achieved in a day or two. It is a long-term process, it requires time, patience, plan, dedication and a lot more. Most people think that successful people became successful overnight or they just got lucky, their idea clicked easily. What you know about how they achieved it is just the tip of an iceberg. 9. Get rid of the Small Thinking

A majority of people lead an average or a below average life just because their goals are too small, they were programmed since their tender age that their life’s goal should be as follows. A job -> a good wife/husband -> kids -> Car -> Own House. Till the time they achieve this pre-programmed goal, they reach their retirement age. They end up living an average life this whole time and then pass on their goal to their next generation. The first thing you need to do is to get rid of the above goal and get a better goal, a goal to get out of the average life and be successful.

10. Get rid of your Comfort Zone

Successful people achieved their success because at some point in their life they got rid of their comfort zone. They would never be in the position they are in today if they would hesitate to embrace the hard way earlier in their life. You can’t expect to be successful if you just sit on your comfortable couch watching TV and eat potato chips.
